Sanding and harmonizing your piano by a Tuner Technician

Depending on the recommendations of our Technician-Piano Tuner in front of your upright piano or grand piano, we will offer you a Hammerhead Harmonization service.

Has the sound of your piano changed or lost momentum over time?

Does your new piano sound too bright or too uneven (on all keys)?

Our experts, trained in Harmonization, will be able to intervene on the sound of your piano by working on the felt of the hammer heads.

Our service takes place in several stages:

1. (mandatory step) Settings of your keyboard and mechanics, imperative before any operation of harmonization. Adjustment services not included in this package and settings rates according to necessary work (or not) on your instrument.
2. Analysis of the current sound of your piano and understanding your need (search for a balance, search for a different sound: more muted, softer, more expressive, etc.)
3. Sanding hammer heads (if necessary), in order to reform the striking point on the strings
4. Harmonization by stitching the hammer heads with our specific tools (see photos), in order to structure differently the cotton fibers that energize the bran
5. Adjustment on all registers, according to the need defined in advance
6. Final test in the presence of pianists, for appreciation of the flourishing sound

Our package includes all costs : travel of our piano tuner specialized in Harmonization, complete service and VAT included.
