The legal origin of the Conservatoire dates back to the law of 22 May 1902, concerning the creation of such an establishment in Luxembourg.
It was in 1984 that the current conservatory located rue Charles Martel was inaugurated.
Curricula, developed by groups of experts and approved by the National Curriculum Commission, define the desired competencies, standard repertoires and examination programmes for each branch and level of study.
