This DAMPP CHASER brand system for three-quarter grand piano and large concert tail larger than 2m20 (also available for grand piano of other size) allows you to take care of your instrument by automatically regulating humidity. This guarantees an exceptional lifespan for your piano (an acoustic piano is built to last a hundred years, subject to regular maintenance and controlled humidity conditions).

How does a Dampp Chaser work to regulate the humidity of an acoustic piano?
The system creates a micro-climate around your instrument, thus preserving it from our sometimes changing indoor environments (to the rhythm of the seasons, our heating mode, etc.).
The Piano Life Saver technology acts autonomously, either as a humidifier (when the humidity of the air is too dry) or as a dehumidifier (in case of humidity, humidity too high).
Elements of the humidity regulator for piano Dampp Chaser
- Dehumidifier: when the humidity (humidity in the air) increases, it evacuates moisture from your piano thanks to a gentle ventilation of warm air.
- Humidifier: When the humidity drops, the air and wood in your piano become drier. At this time, the Dampp Chaser system diffuses a fine humidification of the air. The water level indicator light flashes when the humidifier requires extra water. Filling the humidifier is simple and easy.
- Filling tube: it allows you to fill the humidifier with water when the yellow WATER light of the control box indicates a lack of water.
- Humidistat: This is the brain of the system, which captures the too low or too high humidity of the wooden parts of your piano. It then automatically operates the dehumidification or dehumidification system to protect your piano from damage caused by humidity fluctuations.
- Three-light LED control box: This includes a green POWER light indicating the active power supply of the system, and a yellow WATER light that flashes when the humidifier asks to be filled.
