Purchase / Consignment of your piano

In order to assess the condition and value of your piano, we must carry out an expertise at home or on site (value 110 € TTC refundable, see below).

During this visit, if our Expert determines that your instrument does not have a major defect (cracked frame, split soundboard, cracked bridge, etc.), we will get back to you quickly with the following proposals:

• Purchase of your piano: we pay you the value of the piano by bank transfer and take care of the transport costs (specialized movers). Amount of the expertise at home also reimbursed.
• Taking in consignment sale of your piano: we take the piano in our premises (transport costs to be agreed together) and take care of all the costs of the instrument, such as small repairs, adjustments and tuning, storage, marketing and distribution to our network of contacts. When the instrument is sold, we pay you the value of the piano by bank transfer. Amount of the home appraisal immediately reimbursed upon signature of the consignment sales contract.
• Exchange or Upscale : deduction of the value of your instrument, on the purchase of a higher-range piano or by exchange on another piano (upright piano, hybrid piano, grand piano, etc.). Amount of home expertise reimbursed.

You will benefit from all our professional services, without having to open your door to multiple strangers and saving time and risk (damage during transport by non-professionals, risky or doubtful payment, malicious home visit, etc.).

Complete expertise by Pianos Schaeffer

If your piano has prohibitive characteristics for us, you will then have a document to attest to the value and characteristics of your piano. You will be able to resell your used piano on Leboncoin.fr at its value, by presenting in complete transparency any defects found on your instrument.

No takeover proposal is made without an expert report issued by one of our Pianos Schaeffer Experts.

Our package includes all costs : travel of our Expert, drafting and transmission of the expert report (electronically or by post on request), VAT included.

We are committed to giving a new musical life to the instruments we welcome in our workshops. They are first cleaned, the furniture is aesthetically improved and finally the entire keyboard / mechanical / hammers / strings part is the subject of a more or less consequent restoration. The piano is then tuned by our Tuners, Piano Makers and also our Apprentice Technicians. It will be presented in store in its best light and will delight a new Pianist who will adopt it (rental or purchase).
